September 3rd was Liam’s and my one year anniversary. I am so incredibly grateful for this past year with him. It seems like such a short amount of time in the grand scheme of things, but to me it felt very long. It was a cloudy, gray and rainy day on Sunday so we got a ride downtown for dinner. We went to Pascolo, a locally owned Italian restaurant on Church Street. It’s actually located on the underground floor of its building so it’s like a little nook, with a peaceful, rustic setting. We were sat at a corner table, so we got to sit next each other at the corner. I’ve always preferred to sit like this when we eat out because when he’s across from me he feels too far away, but when he’s right next to me we can’t see each other as easily. We started the meal with the richest mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had, then he got pesto tortellini and I got eggplant parmigiana without tomato sauce. It was the perfect dinner. Plus, to top everything off while we were eating, the song we used to listen to all the time when we first started dating, Cigarette Daydreams played over the speakers.
